On March 21, 2025, we shared the news of the passing of Haitian Christian Ministry’s (HCM’s) Field Director and Senior Pastor, Pastor Bobanoit Lucceus. Affectionately known as Pastor Bob, he was an amazing husband to Rose, devoted father to Calvin (15), Martin (11), and Zayra (9), loving friend, dynamic spiritual leader, and a gifted teacher. Pastor Bob lived out his faith daily, selflessly serving our Lord and Savior. He was the epitome of a servant leader, never turning away anyone in need, no matter the circumstance. His time, talent, and resources were dedicated to spreading the message of Jesus throughout Northern Haiti until the moment God called him home. Many of us were privileged to witness his unwavering faith as his final days approached. He truly fought the good fight and finished strong the race God set before him.

In light of Pastor Bob’s untimely passing at the age of 47, we now have an opportunity to support his family. His early departure leaves his family without the time Pastor Bob had hoped for to plan for their long-term needs. To help, HCM has established the Lucceus Family Support Fund. Contributions to this fund will help cover future expenses for education, medical care, housing, living expenses, and other essential needs. We invite you to support the Lucceus family in one of two ways:a one-time donation, or as a long-term donor by providing monthly support. Click on the button below to donate to the Lucceus Family Support Fund. In accordance with IRS guidelines, contributions are not tax deductible.

As a supporter of HCM, you have seen numerous newsletters discussing Haiti. Many, if not most of these newsletters referenced Pastor Bob and his team in the update. As a board, we wanted to take this opportunity to share a few things you may not have known about Pastor Bob. To start with, he had the talents and connections to pursue opportunities in the U.S., but he felt called to serve God in Northern Haiti. Together with his wife, Rose, he worked tirelessly in the ministry for HCM while raising their three children. Their shared commitment and obedience to God's calling impacted thousands of lives in their community and beyond. Rose was a constant source of strength and encouragement for Pastor Bob, and their children brought him great joy. If you had ever spoken with Pastor Bob, you likely heard him speak fondly of his love for his wife and children.

For the past 10 years, Pastor Bob served as HCM’s Field Director and Senior Pastor. One of his greatest gifts was his unwavering trust in God, which allowed the ministry to thrive under his leadership. During his time with HCM, six churches were planted in Northern Haiti, reaching approximately 1,500 people who came to know Jesus. The ministry also expanded from one school to three, and the medical clinic made significant strides in improving community healthcare. Pastor Bob also mentored the next generation of leaders in Northern Haiti, dedicating his life to serving others. He was raised up by God to serve his people and his presence is missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
